TRANSCAER® Safety Train construction update

The TRANSCAER team is pleased to share that construction of the new TRANSCAER Safety Train is progressing. Construction of the safety train began in the summer, when the team was able to cut access doors and prepare the top of the tank car for the fittings and platforms. Recently, the team has started applying the valves and fittings on the top of the tank car. The team has also made progress on constructing the top platforms. 

Upon completion, the new training tank car will embark on a cross-country tour, making stops in communities where dangerous goods travel, raising awareness about rail safety and emergency response for transportation incidents involving dangerous goods.
