CIAC promotes government policies that enable the chemistry and plastics industry to deliver innovations for a healthy environment and contribute to the low-carbon economy.
In 2019, the federal government committed to the goal of net-zero carbon emissions for all of Canada by 2050. Achieving this will require chemistry-based solutions.Read more

Through Responsible Care and a commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement, our members continue to invest in pollution prevention, energy efficiency, and resource conservation. CIAC is able to track our members’ reductions of greenhouse gas and other emissions through the National Emissions Reduction Masterplan (NERM).
