Solving environmental challenges depends on chemistry-based solutions. Canada’s chemistry and plastic sectors are world leaders in low-intensity carbon chemical and plastic production. CIAC promotes government policies that enable the chemistry and plastics industry to deliver innovations for a healthy environment and contribute to the low-carbon economy.
In 2019, the federal government committed to the goal of net-zero carbon emissions for all of Canada by 2050. Achieving this will require chemistry-based solutions.
