Alberta Chemistry and Plastics Day 2026

The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) will be holding Alberta Chemistry and Plastics Day on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton, Alberta. This annual event provides an excellent platform for dialogue on common issues, enhancing understanding of government positions, and fostering networking among industry professionals and government representatives.

The Alberta Plastics and Chemistry Day will feature opening remarks from CIAC President and CEO Greg Moffatt and Senior Director Kai Horsfield, followed by expert-led panels on critical industry issues. Kara Edwards will moderate a session marking the 40th anniversary of Responsible Care’s National Advisory Panel, while Rob LeForte from First Lake Solutions will present on the political landscape shaping Western Canada’s industrial policy. Christine Nahas will lead a discussion on industrial carbon pricing in Canada, and Christa Seaman will moderate a panel exploring the role of recycled content in plastics circularity, featuring representatives across the plastics value chain. The day will also include presentations on Western Canada’s chemistry and plastics sector and Alberta’s economic outlook and investment climate.
