CIAC Annual Awards call for nominations

The nomination process is now open for the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada’s (CIAC’s) annual Merit and Chair’s Awards.
Nomination deadline is April 3, 2019.
The awards recognize exceptional contributions made by individuals and/or groups to advance the Association’s issues and objectives. CIAC feels it is important that these efforts are recognized now, more than ever before, as we work to ensure the Canadian and provincial governments are knowledgeable about our sector and understand its importance and value to the Canadian economy.
Nominees will have contributed to CIAC’s success in a number of areas, including:
- Advocacy in areas such as chemicals management and health policy, business competitiveness, trade and taxation issues; and
- Promotion of the industry’s commitment to sustainability through Responsible Care®, communication and community outreach.
CIAC members and staff continue to work hard to ensure the Canadian chemistry industry holds a place in the fiercely competitive global sector, and we couldn’t do that without the dedication of the men and women from our member-companies who contribute their expertise, and their own time.
Recipients of awards will be notified in advance that they are receiving an award and will be invited to attend the International Council of Chemical Association’s (ICCA)/CIAC’s Gala Dinner on April 30, 2019 at the Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa-Gatineau. The dinner is being held in conjunction with the Responsible Care® Good Chemistry 2019 Conference. Member-companies are required to cover award winners’ travel and accommodation expenses, as well as registration for Good Chemistry 2019, if they plan to attend the conference following the Gala Dinner.
