Each year the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) publishes competitiveness assessments of the business and policy environment for chemical manufacturing in Canada, together with separate assessments for the key chemical producing provinces of Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
Better known as CIAC’s annual “competitiveness scorecards”, they assess and compare the key factors that have influenced the overall health of the sector in the past year and look at trends. The scorecards also identify key areas where government and industry can work together to improve the competitiveness of the chemistry sector and ensure growth and jobs for the future.
