Alberta Chemistry and Plastics Day 2022

On May 24, CIAC held its annual Alberta Chemistry and Plastics Day at the Fairmont MacDonald in Edmonton. Approximately 75 public service, members including directors, and other stakeholders from across Canada attended several panel discussions. Subjects included creating the conditions for new investment and chemistry’s role in Canada’s net zero future, how Alberta can be a centre of excellence for plastics diversion and recycling, and a discussion on Responsible Care®. CIAC President and CEO also gave a keynote address on the state of chemistry and plastics in Alberta and Canada today. A big thanks to our panelists and participants and to all who attended!
