CIAC welcomes new member Procter & Gamble Canada

The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) welcomes P&G Canada as a new member.

Having operated in Canada for more than 100 years, P&G Canada has several sites in Ontario, including a head office, manufacturing plants and a distribution centre. One of the top consumer goods companies in the world, P&G manufactures and markets a variety of top brands across the household needs, personal hygiene, and health care categories.

“At P&G, we believe that brands can be a force for growth and a force for good. We have a strong commitment to ingredient safety, transparency, and environmental sustainability. Our Ambition 2030 goals aim to enable and inspire positive impact on the environment and society but we know that we can’t do it alone,” said Eric Breissinger, President, P&G Canada.

“To make meaningful progress, we need to collaborate with industry associations like CIAC and form partnerships like the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. Together, we will find solutions to tackle the world’s biggest challenges.”

With more than 700 in-house experts devoted globally to environmental and human safety and regulatory compliance of all their products and ingredients, safety standards for products and ingredients are of the utmost concern for P&G.

“We are delighted to have P&G Canada join the chemistry industry leaders and innovators that that make up CIAC’s membership,” said Bob Masterson, President and CEO of CIAC. “We look forward to tapping into their expertise on a number of issues, notably their strong leadership on global product stewardship and their depth of knowledge on building a circular economy for plastics.”
