This report documents the observations and conclusions of the independent verification team tasked with conducting a Responsible Care Verification of Solvay (Cytec Canada Inc., Welland Plant). Cytec Canada Inc. (from here on out referenced in this report as Solvay) is wholly owned by the Solvay Group and is part of their Technology Solutions business. The CIAC RC verification was undertaken on October 31st and November 1, 2017 at their only Canadian production site.
The purpose of this audit report is to summarize the degree of conformance with relevant criteria, as defined within this report, based on the evidence obtained during the audit of your organization. This audit report considers your organization’s policies, objectives, and continual improvement processes.
This report documents the observations and conclusions of the independent verification team tasked with conducting a Responsible Care Verification of PeroxyChem Canada Limited. Following an initial planning meeting on August 30, 2017 at the company’s Prince George, British Columbia facility, the verification was undertaken on September 27 & 28, 2017 at the same location. This was the second Responsible Care verification completed for PeroxyChem Canada Limited. The last verification was completed in December 2014. Four previous verifications have been carried out at this facility under the previous owner FMC of Canada Ltd.
The scheduled 2016 verification of Shell Chemicals Canada was completed in June 2017. The delay was due to unforeseen circumstances unrelated to the verification process or the company’s commitment to Responsible Care. The verification consisted of a three day visit to the Scotford AB facility on May 30 th , 31 st and June 1st. and a two day visit to the Sarnia ON site on June 6 th and 21 st . The verification involved a site tour at each location, interviews with senior management, functional managers, wage roll employees and applicable representatives from the respective communities. This was the seventh verification of Shell Chemicals Canada. This verification focused on the presence of applicable Responsible Care management systems, areas of focus suggested by the company and current CIAC verification focus areas. The verification did not include a detailed review of the entire 152 Responsible Care Code elements.
