BOB MASTERSON SELECTED AS INCOMING PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE CHEMISTRY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF CANADA

On September 1, Bob Masterson was selected as the incoming President and CEO for the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC).

Bob has worked with CIAC for the past five years as Vice-President, Responsible Care®. In July of this year, he assumed the role of Vice-President, Responsible Care®, Environment and Health.  A seasoned advocate of the chemistry industry, Bob brings more than 15 years of industry association leadership experience gained while working on regulatory and public policy issues at the federal and provincial levels for the Cement Association of Canada, and as a consultant on environment and sustainability governance with a number of national and international trade associations in the energy, mining and forest products sectors.  Bob holds a Masters of Public Administration from Carleton University and an Engineering Mathematics degree from Queens University.

Bob will officially replace Richard Paton, President and CEO of the Association for the last 19 years on December 1, 2015.  Richard will formally retire at the end of the year, on December 31, 2015.
